Robert Sigebert Buckley & the Westminster Link: 21 November 1607 / 2007
Notes on Abbot Feckenham's Community
Appendix A of Ampleforth and its Origins (1952)
Abbot Justin McCann was the main editor for the historical sections, but Fr Hugh Aveling wrote the chapter (4) on 'Marian Westminster'. It was he who collected all the details he could find about the monks who followed Feckenham into Westminster Abbey on 21-22 November 1556, or those who seem to have subsequently joined him there up to 1559.
Note that scanners are not happy with the font, abbreviations or Latin of McCann's text, so the pages are presented as images.
Note further that this work has since been extended, corrected and improved by C.S. Knighton, 'Westminster Abbey Restored', in E.Duffy & D.Loades, edd., The Church of Mary Tudor (2006, Ashgate), p.77, esp. pp 106-123.
